My wife’s parents were building with Millbrook Homes and recommended them to us. My professional background is industrial design, hence I’ve always had a desire to design and build my own home on acreage at Kellyville. I designed our house around a number of features I’d seen in other homes. Millbrook Homes was appointed to build it. The home was designed with two wings, a bedroom wing and a living wing which included a theatre room, large 4.5m kitchen island bench and butler’s pantry. The design focused on maximising our bushland views with large windows providing maximum natural light and northerly facing windows enabling thermal heating in winter. We really liked the colour scheme of the Millbrook Homes display house and closely mirrored it using charcoal, greys and whites. They understood our brief, stuck to the budget, provided quality tradespeople and excellent communication throughout the entire process.
